Both people are people I barely know and the "dates" are basically meeting and getting to know each other a little bit. If they ask I will tell them about the other person too. I think it depends on the context, if it's random people you meet then I think it's perfectly acceptable. If it's someone you already know and like, are friends with and are already sold on wanting to be with them then I wouldn't be pursuing anyone else because I already know I want to be with the first person.

This is such a personal thing and I hate it when others tell you how you should feel. Should we treat this as exclusive? How about you simultaneously date the number of women you feel comfortable with and let the women simultaneously date the number of men they feel comfortable with until you find someone that you want to be exclusive with and who wants to be exclusive with you?
