Says it's a loss but doesn't record in win percent or mmr. Haha, yeah [bot] View Profile View Posts. If someone abandoned before 5 min mark or before first blood - game will not count at all no win no loss even if you stay till the end. For all other players in the game, the match will not be scored.

After first blood, the same rules apply as before: Are you kidding me? Physicaque tried to help and asked a valid question. I'm glad they are doing this, but they need to find a way to lessen the effects of bad people's actions on innocent players. All this does is try to encourage bad players to find better players to play with. While I suppose that is noble, it doesn't protect anyone that actually needs protecting. It's fine, I just want more. Same thing happened to me. Person on my team afks beginning of the game. Other team kept unpausing.

Abandon said "No stats will be recorded". Why did I lose rank??? I found solo RMM, 1 abandonment before firstblood, then I played 2vs2 for a while and managed to get 3 kills 0 deaths, but my only teammate left so i quit too and somehow my MMR gone down 25 points. Community - Abandonment in a ranked match before first blood will now count as a loss for the abandoner and all party members. Can someone explain me this? They revamed the abandonment system a bit.

For all other players, the game wont count. However, it seems that pre-FB abandons now affect all players in the game and we already reported that to Valve. Does this mean I can't dodge at the loading screen before hero selection anymore? It seems so atm.

This is definitely not working as intended. The patch notes that were quoted are the intention. The game should not count, if an abandon happens before first blood, except for the guy who abandoned and his party , for whom it should count as a loss. We'll get this fixed soon. I can understand penalizing people who have chosen their heroes and then abandoned, but come on, Valve - if we're still at the loading screen, and I see that I'm teamed up with someone I know is an asshole, why shouldn't I be allowed to leave? I always laugh at people who abandon on the load screen because they are too impatient to just disconnect for the remaining 60 seconds You know that my "impatience" is actually beneficial to others in that they aren't waiting for me to abandon, right?

Same here, match id No, it's actually not. The game gives higher priority to find a match if someone fails to connect or abandons, but not if you leave the game when it is save to leave , then you are starting all over again. If people would read, what fletcher posted, it would be a good start: This forum has, a severe, problem, with commas. He only said that what the OP described shouldn't have happened, but the OP said his teammate left "before picks were done.

Still, if all this means is that dodging now requires me to simply leave the game and wait 60 seconds, fine. Not a big deal. Dodging games is so Why the fuck should I have to play with people I had very bad experiences with in the past?

Because good players can still perform badly. I didn't say they weren't at my level. I said I had very bad experiences with them. So why should I have to play with people I previously muted for being complete assholes and probably got reports back for reporting them? FoxCharge has always been out of touch with the game. Not about good players and bad players, but when the guy from my last game was ability abusing me and intentional feeding, turning my game into a nightmare, while flaming with no limits, then I simply don't want to play with him again.

I don't always agree with Typhox, but this is exactly what I'm talking about. If I've played with someone before, and I know he either 1. Against him, no problems. With him, fuck no.

But as long as I can still dodge by simply disconnecting and waiting 60, 70 seconds at most, I'm OK. If Valve removes that, then we're going to have problems. Well, just because you're not going to abuse the system doesn't mean no one will. If Valve won't implement a punishment system that actually works, like Tribunal, and won't bother to fix language barrier problems, then I will adjust accordingly: I will dodge any game where I'm teamed up with players I know are assholes or don't speak English.

What i meant to say was: Dogging in load screen wasnt "nerfed" because it was never intended to give you LPQ for just not loading. As Typhox said, I will simply disconnect and wait it out. My point is that people like FoxCharge really should not argue against dodging. These are players I've played with before; why should I play with them again if I know they are rude or liars?

Anyway, as long as dc'ing and waiting still works, no problem.

So disagreeing with you or anyone else on this forum, for that matter makes me out of touch with the entire game? Everyone is entitled to their opinion here. It's a discussion thread; let's not make this personal. Again, there's no reason to try to make this a personal issue.

I suppose I'll just ignore whatever it is you're trying to imply here. This would be a good point to make in one of the pro-banlist threads.

I would be all for having a short block list of players you wouldn't like to be queued with again. Contact the Team To contact us directly about specific matters. You're playing with the lowest of the low in terms of people, and that's going to be reflected in their attitude and unfortunately as you stated that rubbed off on you. Archived from the original on March 20, Feedback Forums For general feedback about the game. I would say, check it out and see if your behavior score might be the cause of this all. Mind you the modern day people only act like this because we feel safe to emulate advertising, like NBA's "I love this game!

The multiplayer is a lot faster too because you start with more workers. The main problem with the game right now is there's way too many insta-lose units in the game, but Blizzard just announced huge balance changes today, such as removing the mothership core from the game. And as far as the game being "dead" it's not even close not saying you said that, but people everywhere love to say starcraft 2 is a dead game.

I don't think you are being fair to themaniacsgnome. There are uncooperative people at all skill levels, many of whom refuse to communicate. There are also people of all nationalities at all skill levels, which more often then not makes it nearly impossible to communicate. However, I agree with themaniacsgnome 's assessment - it should be simple enough to see that if you are rated at a higher skill level you should, on average, be playing with people who are more technically competent at the game. I have had very bad streaks in my Dota career of being a toxic and inflammatory player myself.

And I've definitely been one to assault people for their play, though I do think I have finally managed to taper off and halt the behavior over the past few years not coincidentally, as I've played less and less of the game. But I know that truly, if I was to go back and be honest with myself at those times, it would be rare that I could truly call the player out on being low skill or having extremely poor understanding of mechanics and strategy.

I've sat in the 3. Everyone has bad days, bad games, bad streaks of losses. Just look at anyone's match history and it is easy to see. It's best not to get too upset and harass someone just for one bad game. Again, I say that I have been very guilty of this myself.

DOTA 2: Four years and 2,824 matches later, a rant about why I friggin' quit.

Like you, I've pretty much stopped playing the game over the past year because I reached a tipping point in terms of my personal enjoyment of the game. I don't usually enjoy "stomping" other players, and I don't usually enjoy being the victim either. When the name calling comes out and the feeding begins a "meh" game turns into a torturous 45 minutes that I will never get back. And its hard not to regurgitate the toxicity. I'm sure I'll do it again someday, if I am to ever play again.

I'm sure it says a lot of bad things about me as a person, but at least I don't have the risk of "becoming the villain" if I choose not to play the game. The main point of what I initially wrote is frustration with a game that basically owned me for turning into an asshole. Every time that you harm Dota 2 it keeps quiet record of it and if you keep it up you'll have to earn your karma back twice as slow as you trashed it. I'm not a victim of dota 2's toxic community, at all, I joined in and it made the game miserable.

It all boils down to: I love this addictive game, it helped me learn about myself, and now I'm moving on.

A 3k behavior score is abyssmal I truly don't mean that in an offensive way. Most everyone I've talked to talks about the variability of anything between 9kk.
