Officer or NCO with lower enlisted? Do you look down on the higher ranking individual?
I'd like some input from others involved in a similar situation. Posted in these groups: LTC Join to see.
The Army fraternization policy as put out in AR , , applies equally whether one is in the same chain of command or not. Other branches of service will have their own variations. Prosecution within one's own chain of command is more likely, but fraternization outside the chain of command is still prohibited between the following in the Army: You'll have to refresh my memory on where it's states in the Army frat policy that relationships are prohibited between NCO and lower enlisted.
If I recall correctly I believe the stipulations for enlisted are no dating within the same rating chain and if it conflicts with good morale and discipline within the unit. Which as we all know is extremely vague.

Because they would produce another Warrant Officer. That literally made me lol. SP5 Ronald R Glaeseman 1 y.
SGM Join to see. Im pretty sure the answer should be NO. Some long distance couples alternate visits to balance time off work and the cost of plane tickets. Naturally, you want to be in close proximity to your boyfriend, but the distance will be OK for now. You Toped that one TOP.

Soldiers and leaders often discuss terms such as fraternization, inappropriate Dating, shared living accommodations other than those directed by or attached to the U.S. Army Recruiting Command or National Guard recruiting As with most things in the Army, if a Soldier is unsure of the rules or their. All branches of the United States military maintain regulations that govern dating, and any fraternization, among both officers and enlisted soldiers. Since
But enough people can't, and so we make rules based on those failures instead of addressing the individual failures. It happens across our policies -- women can't wear nail polish and have a specific nail length proscribed because too many of them were wearing outlandish colors and distractingly long lengths; men and women are so tatt'ed up that one spends more time reading their necks, ears, hands, and legs than actually attending to what they are saying; etc.
If it does, then it should be ended and without whining. Quite frankly, CPT Smith and SPC Snuffy might be pretty close in age and with as well-educated as our enlisted are, they might actually have things in common But that's not our organization -- decision-making by band-aid or amputation, nothing in between.

I have seen it in many different shapes and forms. My son has been married twice to other NCO's of the same rank it didn't work out at all. I really think it comes down to how the situation came about and there perspective on leadership and where they are in there career's. Do I think a LTC should date a spec 4 or should a CPT date a spec 4 definitely not I have seen that two and its a disaster even if there in different commands.
They both had the same take and similar leadership respect and style that seem to work fine. Over all I think its a good rule because I have seen it first hand and just shook my head. I do think there are exceptions to that rule.
I know the Army does not do things on a case by case basis nor should they. When dating takes place between soldiers of the same rank or between a solider and a civilian employee or government contractor, military regulations only prohibit those relationships which directly affect morale, discipline, respect for authority or otherwise interfere with a mission. Dating is subject to the same scrutiny as any other form of fraternization. As such, it must reflect professionalism and cannot engender any favoritism or abuses of position.
Should two soldiers of the same rank be married and one of them receive a promotion, all precautions will be taken to avoid putting them in a direct line of command. However, some exceptions to the prohibitions exist, and fraternization between certain groups is considered acceptable. These divisions include general officers, field grade officers, company grade officers including warrant officers , staff non-commissioned officers and junior officers.
Danielle Hill has been writing, editing and translating since Soldiers of Different Ranks Military regulations chiefly regulate against dating between two soldiers of different ranks.
