    First while 4 pin fans are backwards compatible, the connectors here are walled off for 3 pin fans, so a 4 pin will not fit on this. Not a problem for me since I bought this specifically for connecting my liquid cooler pump which is 3 pins, and people recommend you plugging it to PSU instead as it shouldn't be speed controlled. Another problem is wiggling the wires around also wiggles the pins on the PSU side of the adapter. It made it really hard to plug in. You have to wiggle it to the point where the pins inside all lines up before it can be plugged into your PSU.

    I found this happening with cheap adapters like this or a cheap fan. I did not got this item, but a different one, even though I bought the one advertised here. Instead I got this: I really wanted the item listed here, and I was so sad that I got sended another thing instead although even the ModTek's bag sticker description says it is the one listed here Sadly I cannot recommend this product if my problem is left unsolved.

    Why would you put molex and female SATA, on fan splitters, makes no sense, least to me it dont, cuz all PSU All have "ONLY" Female Sata connectors, or could of simpley added a male sata as well, theres already molex, female sata, why not add a male connector as well.     Better looking aesthetically out there than this. But I was stuffing this behind my mobo antways. Used this to connect my 2 front fans and top case fan All 3 pin from taking up my 4 pin motherboard heads and you cant control speed of fans doing it this route this adapter worked well to connect my CPU case front panel fan speed adjuster lowers or raises the voltage on those 3 fans.
