I am a fan of 3 Doors Down and of course knew what I was receiving, so no surprise that this item was great received in good quality.

There are bands like Sugar Ray and Smash Mouth who, after they have a big hit, make a whole album that sounds like that one hit, eventually turning them into one hit or at best, two-hit wonders. Then there's 3 Doors Down. Nothing has changed about their sound. If anything, it's much harder on this album. Just like the first two albums, this one also sticks by the one-ballad policy. But on this one, they stuck it at the end of the album "Here By Me". The first single, "Let Me Go", may not be the strongest thing they've put out, although the following track, "Be Somebody", is a personal favourite, and a definite candidate for next single.

The only flaw on this album is the useless appearance by Bob Seger in "Landing On London", since he only sings two lines! Of the two new songs from " Miles", only "It's Not Me" was recorded for this album, and is also a good candidate for a single. For those of you who didn't know or care , or for those who knew and didn't have the time nor inclincation to pick it up, american rockers 3 Doors Down recently released their 3rd effort, titled "Seventeen Days". If you've been close to a radio or television in the past month I'm sure you've seen and heard their lead-off single, "Let Me Go" you know, the song that features the video of a stripper with the heart of hold, who tv-geeks might recognize as Nash Bridges' daughter However,those who either proudly or secretly enjoy the gener-rock world of Nickelback, Theory of a Deadman, Default, and Thornley, will without a doubt be checking this album out.

It is impossible to dislike "Seventeen Days" if you're a 3 Doors down fan because, well, it's no different from anything you've heard from the band in the past. Any one of the songs on this cd could easily be interchanged with the songs from the band's prior albums, "The Better Life" and "Away From the Sun".

This is not to say that it's bad music by any means, but most linsterners prefer to be challenged by new material rather than getting more of the same stuff that you've already heard.

There's nothing wrong with developing a sound and sticking with it, but if I play a song off a cd and you can't even tell which one it's off of, I think there's a problem. This album has everything you could possibly ask for from a gener-rock cd: The lyrics, vocals, structure, and riffs offer nothing new to listeners who own either of the band's previous cds.

Audio CD Verified Purchase. Not sure what others are talking about as far as dual-sided goes. Music on one side, label art on the other. Nothing in the Amazon description mentions anything about DVD media on it either, because there's not. Again, it's just a music CD, and it rips just like one.

Maybe there was a different release with a DVD side to it, but the one I received today is just music. This is possibly the best album that 3 doors down ever made. Full of their signature sound. I Immediately loaded this CD on my car hard drive.

I travel a lot and even though I am "50 something" I totally relate to their music. Album is steady rock but not really hard rock, exactly my thing! They try some heavier rock styles but it is their "traditional" 3DD sound that will dominate the album. The best track on the album is "Landing in London" which features Bob Seger. It is a blend of "Here Without You" and Seger's "Turn the Page" and will predictably find it's way on the airwaves and the Top 40 charts. The first release, "Let Me Go" is also filled with the traditional 3DD sound and is easily one of the top 3 songs on the album.

Rounding out the top 3 songs that will make the airplay lists, is "It's Not Me. The album may not surpass "Away From the Sun" as a CD collection must-have, but it will be a success and will continue to attract new 3DD faitful to the pack. I'm not a big fan of 3 Doors Down. I like some of their songs, but when the song "Let Me Go" came out, I fell in love with the song.

So I previewed all the other songs. I was surprised that I liked every song. What else can I say? You know what it is.

So make your decision. I skipped this for some reason back in and just bought it after seeing them live again for the 3rd time. It's a must have for any 3DD fan. It has more slower songs then I'd like however they do rock and have good riffs. Kinda like 18 and Life is a slower song but still rocks!
