What is my matchmaking rating

Matchmaking Rating

This data is also for top 14 so there might be even worse teams. Either you wait minutes for a match or the game fills the game with lower ranked players. This is exactly what is happening and what I meant.

If he wants action ,that is fine , but that is not all that pubg rating amounts to ,which is what we were talking about which in turn is why I said kills matter as much as they should right now to overall rating. That is not sustainable tho. Second game people were much better. Beyond the chess world, concerns over players avoiding competitive play to protect their ratings caused Wizards of the Coast to abandon the Elo system for Magic: Players' ratings depend on the ratings of their opponents and the results scored against them. It looks like you wrote a lowercase I instead of an uppercase I. Elo's original K-factor estimation was made without the benefit of huge databases and statistical evidence.

Before 1PP was introduced, that was very much the case. I would meet mostly teams who were top , often multiple top teams when I was top Wait time was longer, but max by 5 minutes vs nearly instant now, but incredibly boring. Max rating of enemy as stated by OP was less than I think that is evidence that the game does not "matches you with players at your skill level". You can see another number next to your rank. It shows how many players have better rank than you ie. Better rank can be achieved by playing more. Also you could be decent shooter but you go to the highly contested areas all the time and don't make it alive most of the time.

Guess I should be a lone wolf more often; if the numbers are right then all these damn randos are holding me back.

I feel like having millions of players would allow for better players read: Personally being from the higher end of the curve, I wouldn't mind waiting an extra ten seconds to get matched against opponents closer to my skill level. It would also make the game more enjoyable for people from the lower end of the curve, as they wouldn't be getting higher rated people in their games.

Game like LoL, DotA or even OW have much smaller team size and bigger player base and at the highest level it could still take them a few minutes Sometimes close to 1 hour just to find a fair match.

Elo rating system

Which is the reason why many pro pubg player have said the only quality pubg match you could have, is from pugging or scrimming. I perfectly understand your point and things are unlikely to change.. All I'm saying is that even at 0. Of course it might be a personal preference, but I would be willing to wait a bit more to get higher rated opponents. And the rating has already dropped to That's 5 match worth of player you're looking at. The player base is already fragmented into region, type of squad, type of view And some people currently even ask for map and weather , it's impossible for a mm system to provide a fair match out of all that variables.

And we're not even talking about other things that also affect the amount of player like time slot or ping difference. It seems lot of player are thinking of rating Like the number shown in OP graph as "bad players", it simply is not. Because ranks of the rank reset just now, is currently "high". To be honest, these statistics were just taken at a really bad time, since everyone's rating is rising all the time at this point.

As someone who isn't in the top 0. It'd be nice to win one.

They would never make it as good as in a game with players per match, but it could be improved a lot of they waited a minute to find players for a high rating match rather than the seconds we have today. Even at the highest ratings, you still get matched with half the server just dropping at hot spots and rushing each other, with half the server dead before the first circle starts moving in. You would expect to at least face other players playing to win at the higher ratings, even if everyone isn't at the same skill level. I think plenty of people would complain about minute queue times lol.

In squad everyone of my friends has the aspiration to have at least a 2. We have thousands of hours of FPS experience each and thus kinda high expectations to perform. That is not sustainable tho.

The weaker players will either get better or get frustrated and leave the game. And at that point other players will be the worst players in the game and now they get frustrated and will be more likely to leave the game. Kill rating is part of your rating but it isn't enough. Sometimes i am completely shocked how someone didn't manage to kill me even tho he had every advantage in the world. When I check their stats on op. Is that even a fixable thing?

The average kdr is going to be less than 1 no matter what. Give or take, sure matches are often like 92 people or whatever, but don't forget that us 1 man squads do occasionally get wins. So how do you deal with that frustration?

Welcome to Reddit,

Stricter matchmaking might drag up the stats of the worst players, but at the same time it'd quickly make those high winrate and high kdr dreams unachievable, which would be it's own form of frustration. And it might lead to people actually respecting the ladder giving you potentially other aspirations. I'm ranked and would agree with you if not for the fact that the game is a buggy piece of shit.

I like being forced to play at a Nah, I'd rather just kill noobs instead of raging at the engine failing me against really skilled players. Your second paragraph explains the first. Whoever is in charge of matchmaking decided faster matchmaking is better than people being closer to the same skill. This obviously makes very little sense when you have 3 million players on at a time. After experiencing games with smaller player bases generally, coupled with being on oceanic region, I never want to have to deal with long wait times again.

My gaming time is too short and too precious to waste on waiting formm. The spread of skill in a match across players should sort itself out. That plus the variability of the games and environment. All I have to do is go to pubg. I also think its fairly obvious. I'm also around that level on fpp, last season I had no games on tpp until the end of january.

I have no doubt there's matchmaking on fpp aswell. So youre quadruple the average player in top10 rate. Maybe not but there's no way for the stats site to know that number ;. There are a lot of methods to get lvl2 gear, a decent AR and some healing without having to fight for it. I mean there are days where he is literally being stream sniped 12 hours straight by people who just spawn in to interact with him and die.

IF there is ELO based matchmaking, how does someone like Waduhek who doesnt even pick up guns and just hides and eventually dies get into games with Shroud with such regularity? If they have nearly the same rating, yes. Shroud has rating in squad which isnt very high Some wins or some top10s and your at the same rating. But it still can happen. He is talking about high rating players, like 2. If shroud played like he cared about his rating. Which means making sure you always make it to top 10, don't take unnecessary fights, don't drop school, etc etc.

He would have a good rating. But he doesn't play like that. Which means that even if he's really good. His rating isn't the best. His strategies, positioning and game philosophy are very poor. His aim and ability in gun-fights are top tier. Using my own terms, Shroud is a very micro-centered player but a very bad Macro player. This means shroud is creative enough to ensure he can have the upperhand on individual gunfights, but means that if he meets someone average something like KDA who has a methodical playstyle, he will lose.

Again , a 0. This is what makes PUBG such an amazing game, the clear division between macro and micro. But the matchmaking in this game is terrible and thats why almost no one takes the ladder seriously. Regarding the first paragraph, you are absolutely right. But the game has changed a bit from the beta, and people are actually learning how to move around the map.

I barely played in the pre season because I found no fun in getting easy wins. Even made me feel like I should have refunded the game, but nowadays, people have atleast a direction. Granted I kind of painted shroud with this brush a bit, but there were some situations were he got completely outplayed by someone playing this game with some sort of strategy in mind mostly stealth kills or better positioning.

Rushing straight to the area when you are shroud matters very little, but to your average player, you really don't want to be the only guy standing in the area getting shot from degrees. It's like you said, this provides entertainment for the twitch masses, but the problem is he did this before as well when he actually cared about rankings.

Maybe should start playing for ranks again, pretty sure it will be more enjoyable for him than what it was before although twitch and reddit will probably abhor this. Or maybe stress inducing, depending on just how good people are now. I have barely touched this game waiting for the anticheat ,so I don't know which way it would go tbh. This isn't because he's bad at strategy and you're some amazing General who has noticed a more optimum startegy.
